Let’s be honest… you don’t check all those notifications as often as you should.  How many notifications do you have right now?  Not sure?  Swipe down with one finger from the top of your screen, and scroll.  I’ll wait…

…still scrolling?

If you just mumbled something like, “whoa”, you probably need to clear them out.  You could tap the Delete icon, but it may take you a while if you’ve never cleared any of those hundreds of unread notifications—and if you have have an iPhone 6 or older, that’s the only option you have.  But, if you have an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, or iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, you can use the power of 3D Touch to quickly clear all your notifications in less than two taps.

Here’s how:

Press the Delete icon down until you feel a slight vibration from your display and see the Clear All Notifications bubble appear.  Then just tap the bubble, and voila (or “bob’s your uncle”, for our British friends)!

If you’re having trouble using 3D Touch, check out our blog on how to change the sensitivity to something that works better for you.  In it, you’ll not only learn where to go on your phone, but another cool trick using 3D Touch and the flashlight on your iPhone.
