Logitech consistently makes some of the most solid PC/Mac and mobile accessories on the market. Their iPad keyboard cases are some of my favorite—even more so than Apple-branded accessories (although those are good, too). So it’s no surprise that Logitech just released a new keyboard case for the (also new) 10.5-inch iPad Pro.
The Slim Combo is a hard case with 360-degree protection and four use modes: Typing, Viewing, FaceTime, and Reading. The case also features a full-size, detachable, backlit keyboard with three levels of adjustable backlight for different low light scenarios. And that keyboard also features smart iOS shortcuts (in case you didn’t know, you can use many of the same keyboard shortcuts on an iPad that you can on a Mac). And yes, a place to hold your Apple Pencil! And because the Slim Combo connects to your iPad using the Smart Connector, it means you won’t have to worry about charging it—because it draws its power from the iPad (sipping between 0.3%-2.3% per hour).
The Logitech Slim Combo comes in Black and Classic Blue, and will run you $130—about $30 cheaper than Apple’s Smart Keyboard. Logitech also makes the Slim Combo for the bigger 12.9-inch iPad Pro. That’ll run you $150 while Apple’s version is about $20 more. And you can buy the case directly from Logitech or from Apple’s website.
